These terms govern participation in the Online Store Builder Academy ("OSBA," "we," "us") Friend Referral Program (the "Program"). By generating a referral link or otherwise participating in the Program, you agree to these terms in full. If you do not agree, do not participate.
The Program is open to active Online Store Builder Academy members in good standing. We may exclude any member from the Program at our discretion, including members whose accounts are suspended, under review, or in violation of our Terms of Use.
You may invite a friend by generating a personalized invite link through the Refer a Friend page. Each link is created for one specific, named individual and is intended solely for that person. Your friend must sign up using your invite link, purchase a qualifying Wix plan, and remain active on that plan for at least fifteen (15) days. Once your referral is reviewed and approved, the referral reward becomes payable seven (7) days after approval, provided your friend has not canceled their plan during that period.
To qualify, the referred person must: (a) be a real individual other than yourself; (b) be a new customer who has not previously signed up through OSBA or held a qualifying Wix plan or an existing Wix user; (c) sign up through the specific invite link generated for them; and (d) complete and maintain their purchase as described above. One reward is payable per unique referred person, regardless of how many links, accounts, or email addresses are involved.
You may not refer yourself. This includes signing up under a different name, email address, payment method, household, or business entity that you own or control. Any referral that we determine, in our sole discretion, to be a self-referral will be rejected, and the account may be removed from the Program.
Invite links are personal invitations, not marketing assets. You may share your invite link only directly and privately with the individual it was generated for. You may not post, publish, or distribute invite links publicly in any form, including on social media, websites, blogs, forums, coupon or deal sites, video descriptions, paid advertisements, mass emails, group chats, or messaging broadcasts. If you wish to promote OSBA publicly, you must be accepted into our affiliate program, which is governed by separate terms. The affiliate program is not currently open for applications.
Without limiting the above, the following are prohibited: submitting false, misleading, or fabricated referral information or receipts; creating fake, duplicate, or bot accounts; referring individuals without their knowledge or consent; spamming or harassing anyone with invite links; bidding on OSBA-related keywords or running paid traffic to invite links; misrepresenting the Program, its rewards, or your relationship with OSBA; offering unauthorized incentives, rebates, or payments to referred persons; and any attempt to manipulate, automate, or circumvent the Program's tracking, review, or payout processes.
All referrals are subject to manual review. We may request additional documentation, including proof of purchase, before approving any referral. We reserve the right to reject any referral that cannot be verified or that we reasonably believe violates these terms. Referral statuses shown in your dashboard (including "Pending" and "Approved") are informational and do not constitute a guarantee of payment until the payout is issued.
The referral reward amount is displayed on the Refer a Friend page and may be changed at any time; the amount in effect at the time your referral is approved applies. Payouts are made exclusively via PayPal to the PayPal email address saved on your account. You are responsible for ensuring your PayPal details are accurate; we are not responsible for payments sent to an incorrectly entered address. If PayPal is unavailable in your region, contact support before participating. Rewards have no cash value until paid, are non-transferable, and may not be exchanged, sold, or assigned.
Any violation of these terms, or any activity we determine in our sole discretion to constitute abuse, fraud, or manipulation of the Program, will result in immediate removal from the Program, forfeiture and voiding of all pending and unpaid rewards, and may result in suspension or termination of your OSBA membership. Where rewards have already been paid in connection with fraudulent activity, we reserve the right to recover those amounts and to pursue any other remedies available to us.
You are solely responsible for any taxes, duties, or reporting obligations arising from rewards you receive under the Program.
Participation in the Program does not create any employment, agency, partnership, or affiliate relationship between you and OSBA. You are not authorized to make any representations or commitments on our behalf.
We may modify, suspend, or terminate the Program, or update these terms, at any time and for any reason. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. Referrals approved before a termination or change will be honored under the terms in effect at the time of approval. Continued participation after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
These terms are in addition to, and do not replace, our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. All Program decisions, including referral approvals, rejections, and abuse determinations, are made by OSBA and are final. If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect.
